Designed as the winter home for a family from up north, this exuberant plantation style house embraces the grassy dunes, white sand, and the beautiful Gulf of Mexico just beyond. Patterns and colors are all around enticing one to embrace the visual abundance. Millwork and gingerbread are never out of view in this drywall-free house. Hand painted tiles decorate the floors inside and out. This home, since becoming the family's full time residence, is even more richly layered with attention to detail, and like all great houses, continues to be a lovely work in progress.
